In this step, you don't have to add thread but you should loop the thread in such a way that the band gets an equal diameter to the first band. 

Keep making band until it looks like this. Make 4-6 bands. It keeps the broom strong. Cut the cord at about 15 cm from the band.

We are sure that you are finding your cord is still untied. For this, make a loop and tie in its length. 

To do this, press the band of the cord so that it doesn't get loose after that take tip of the cord and try to make a loop that tightens after pulling the top.
